The World Wide Web hits another milestone

Today marks the 30th Birthday for the World Wide Web. 30 years ago today Tim Berners-Lee submitted his idea to the Physics lab know as CERN for sharing information among scientist and educational institutions among others. Within a few years the "Web" had started taking shape. It looked very different from what we think of when we look at a website today.  It took a few more years before it became a household name but now we carry the internet in out pockets and some even wear it on our wrist or glasses!

There is a lot to be proud of when it comes to what we have accomplished on the web but we also need to be cautious when it comes to the down sides that come with any technology.

"Berners-Lee launched a campaign called "Contract for the Web" at the Web Summit tech conference in Lisbon, Portugal, last year." - CNN to help address some of the more challenging issues with face with the internet.
